M5 | Gloucestershire | Northbound | Incident | Road Closed

The M5 in Gloucestershire is closed northbound between J14Falfield Interchange(Dursley, Thornbury, B4509) and J13Stroudwater Interchange (Stroud, Dursley A419) due to a serious collision. Gloucestershire Police, South West Ambulance Service and Highways England Traffic Officers are on scene.

Southbound traffic is currently being held prior the scene of the incident whilst emergency services establish the details of the incident.

A diversion is in operation:

Northbound traffic exit at J14 and follow the route marked with a solid triangle symbol on local road signs. This will route traffic via the B4509 and then right on to the A38 north. At Fromebridge, at the roundabout with the A419 take the third exit and take the A419 to J13 of the M5.

Road users should allow extra time for their journey if planning on using the M5 through Gloucestershire and consider alternative routes, if possible.
