A machine learning algorithm can detect diabetes and prediabetes from electrocardiogram (ECG) features, according to a study published online Aug. 9 in BMJ Innovations.
According to research presented by Dr. Deepak Bhatt from the Brigham and Women’s Hospital Heart and Vascular Center, treatment with sotagliflozin significantly lowered total deaths and hospitalizations in patients with diabetes and worsening heart failure.
