Good evening,

Good evening,

The band is getting back together.

Tonight, Street Talk can reveal which banking giant Canadian asset manager Brookfield is working with on a joint bid for Virgin Australia. And here's a big hint: they've got a bit of history together.

The pair last teamed up a couple of years ago when they co-invested in a West Australian oil company. They made hundreds of millions of dollars apiece back then and they'll be hoping to repeat that form.

Elsewhere, we take a dive into Wednesday's biggest news: Lawrence Ho's exit from Crown Resorts. Ho's $552 million stake in Crown was snapped up by US investment giant Blackstone and we take a look at what its play could be.

Finally, fund managers have taken matters into their own hands at takeover target CML Group.

Happy reading,
