MADONNA DELLA ROSA - DETAIL

Most commonly attributed to the Italian artist Raphael, this is a detail of the original painting entitled, "Madonna della Rosa" from the 16th century. It depicts the Virgin Mary holding a bare Child Jesus, who is playfully sharing a scroll that appears to read "ECCE AGNUS DEI" (Behold the Lamb of God) with a young John the Baptist. Watching from the background is St. Joseph, guardian of the Holy Family. This print is framed in a decorative antiqued gold wood frame under glass. It measures 13 3/4"H x 15 3/4"L and has a five-notch sawtooth hanger.

OLIVE WOOD NATIVITY ROSARY WITH HOLY FAMILY CENTER

This very special rosary is made with 5mm olive wood beads from the Holy Land, a pewter crucifix and centerpiece. On the front of the centerpiece is an image of the Holy Family and encased on the reverse is a small piece of cloth that was touched to the very spot marking the traditional site on which Jesus was born in the Grotto of the Nativity in Bethlehem. When laid flat, the rosary measures 17". Imported from the West Bank.
