This Waldo County man is on a mission from God to help homeless people
  • A Stockton Springs man is working hard to help the more apparent homeless and housing insecure people of Waldo County, the ones who often do sleep rough. In his case, he’s doing it because he feels he’s on a mission from God.

    Over the last year, Matt Bolduc,35, has become something of an activist, starting a new group called “From Above,” which advertises itself as offering a hand up and not a hand out.

7 course ‘surprise menu’ brings upscale food to rural Maine
  • In a trial run before its full opening in January, chef Alex White of Table X served seven courses, including salmon with watercress and apples in a dashi dressing. One of the favorites among diners was the cappelletti with parm fondu, a pasta dish that includes hazelnut bagna cauda with anchovies, garlic, olive oil and chili flakes.

    There’s a mystique component to Table X. Diners won’t know specifically what they will be eating until they are served.

The jury will start deliberating Monday in a Hampden man’s murder trial
  • Philip Clark, 56, of Hampden has pleaded not guilty to intentional or knowing murder in the shooting death of Renee Henneberry Clark, 49, on July 11, 2018. Her body was found two days after she died in the bedroom of her apartment at 557 Kennebec Road in Hampden. The case will go to the jury after closing arguments and six days of testimony.
