We exposed a faulty environmental law: Popular “disposable” e-cigarettes (vapes) are considered hazardous waste at both the federal and state levels – but Maine offers no disposal options, and general disposal is causing battery fires at trash plants. -
We held law enforcement to a high standard: In investigations into the actions of a Maine sheriff selling weapons from his office’s evidence room, witness after witness testified that they learned about the issue by reading the Bangor Daily News.
