Last December, Maison&Objet Design Factory came to life in Hong Kong, bringing together over 15,000 design professionals and enthusiasts for a groundbreaking exploration of new creative and sustainable practices. Across five immersive spaces, 120 designers and brands from Asia and Europe shared their vision, showcasing reimagined craftsmanship, innovative materials, and committed approaches to design.

With the exceptional participation of 12 French talents from Les Lauréats de l’Intelligence de la Main®—a unique community of over 130 winners of the Liliane Bettencourt Prize for the Intelligence of the Hand®, awarded by the Bettencourt Schueller Foundation—the event celebrated outstanding savoir-faire and artisanal excellence.

Curated by renowned experts such as Elizabeth Leriche, Jiang Qiong Er, Normal Studio, Uchronia for French Design, and Pauline Vidal & Quentin Hirsinger from Materi’O, this first edition shone a spotlight on designers embracing a sensitive yet forward-thinking approach. From iconic names to the new generation, each participant contributed to a dynamic dialogue between heritage and innovation.
