To the Ratmobile! Woman’s van overrun with rodents

Not every pet is keen on riding in the car. Dogs tend to handle it better than cats, but sometimes they’re too big to fit. Wouldn’t it be easier to bring smaller pets like rats on a road trip? Well, maybe at first — but rats have their own unique problems to contend with. One woman from San Diego, California found this out the hard way when she attempted to live out of her car with her two pet rats. She stated she had only brought the two rodents into her car, and she never once expected them to breed as rapidly as they did. When authorities finally told her to move her van, they discovered 300 rats living inside the vehicle with her! Needless to say, she no longer has custody of the rats or car, but the woman is happily living in a new location. Hopefully, it’s less crowded this time around.

Rats don’t just love cars — they like riding the subway too.
