I can't help it. In July and August, my car cannot pass a roadside produce stand without stopping. Then, at the end of the trip, I have more luscious fruits and vegetables than we can reasonably eat.
My intentions are always good, but alas, much of it gets too ripe before I get that far. Half of it gets wasted. I even have that problem in the grocery.
But now I've discovered "Fresh Bags." We've tried them long enough to know they work, that fruit stays fresh longer. The manufacturer says "up to weeks longer."
I don't know about "weeks" but it will keep stuff fresh for days longer, even bananas.
They come 20 to a box and you can use them up to ten times. Think how much money you'll save over the next six months.
