[ Not displaying correctly? View web version. ] | Apogee Rocketry Workshop #407 | Have you ever wondered how to roll your own body tubes? Maybe you have to make a custom size tube, or a tube coupler for a scale rocket that requires an diameter tube that is not commonly available. In my case, I needed a longer tube coupler than we had here in our shop in order to make an ebay compartment. In this video, I'll show you my technique for making a sprial would paper tube. This second part of the video shows applying the outside layers of the coupler to build up the thickness and to achieve a perfect in the tube it will be used in. We'll then let the glue dry overnight, and remove the new tube from the mandrel. Finally, we'll trim up the ends of the coupler to the desired length for our rocket project.
