Make the mouse pointer easier to locate
By Ed Bott
Playing "find the mouse pointer" is no fun for anyone with less than 20/20 vision, especially on recent-vintage super-high-resolution laptops.
When Windows 10 was first released, it included the same controls as in earlier Windows versions, all located in the classic Control Panel, under Mouse Options. Those options have since expanded significantly and moved to a more modern location. To see the full array of available customizations, go to Settings > Ease Of Access > Cursor & Pointer. There, you can make these adjustments:
1. Use the Change Pointer Size slider to make the pointer larger. The options go from 1 (normal size) to 15 (absolutely humongous).
2. Under the Change Pointer Color heading, choose white (the default), black, or my personal favorite, the inverted option, which dynamically shifts between white and black depending on the background. Or go bold by clicking the color wheel to choose one of seven fluorescent colors or pick a custom pointer color.
3. The cursor (aka insertion point) automatically changes size to match the pointer size Use the Change Cursor Thickness slider to change the thin blinking line to one that's easier to spot in a Word document.
Any changes you make are applied immediately, so you can see their results and make adjustments as needed. Cisco VPNs are a popular way to allow remote users to access your network.
