Staghorn ferns are a beautiful air purifying plant and with this DIY mount, it doubles as a nice piece of wall decor art. This is an easy to make mount that looks expensive, but can be made for fractions less than buying one online/retail stores.

I was inspired by the beautiful succulent decor walls at my local malls and stores. I wanted my own mini version in my backyard. However, upon research I found that vertical planters are so expensive!

Calibrachoa (Million Bells) Hardiness

I'm not very familiar with these plants and the fairly new cultivars. I'm sure most of you have seen them in garden centers. They are usually sold under the common name, 'Million Bells'.

Strawberries love lots of water. At the wrong place and at the wrong time, it can cause a proliferation of the Mycosphaerella fragariae fungus which can ruin a crop and do serious damage to the plant. The plants usually recover, but the harvest can be lost.

Seeds have different spacing and depths (it's on the package). Rather than digging individual holes and having inconsistent depths and distances of my garden plantings, I created my own seed tape for a neater prettier look. It works great for flower beds too.

Those of us who garden in the cooler zones are denied the rewards and challenges of landscaping with desert succulents (at least most of the year). Fortunately, we can bring a mini version of those interesting desert plants indoors by creating a cactus dish garden.

This Week's QuestionsX320 John Deere Won't StartI have a John Deere x320 lawn tractor. Normally it starts right up no matter what, but now it only makes a low click noise. It will not turn over at all. I checked the battery, already. I hit a limb and the mower cut off.
