Spiders may be creepy, but here is one that will not do any harm. This spider craft is made with simple supplies - cupcake liners, goggly eyes, a Sharpie marker, dot paint, and glue. My daughter loves this craft so much (and any with spiders lately).

I brought my love for nature into my living room since our summer season will be going really busy. I just imagined myself going to this pearly wonderful waterfall while making this craft.

I had so much fun with this one rainy day late in March! I found that the plastic helps retain moisture better than my plantable pots. You can use this project to help kids learn about the value of recycling and creating something from nothing.

I found these very unique buckets/pails. They are flat on one side and would work very well against a flat surface. Because I spend a lot of time outdoors in the garden, storage for small items can come in handy. I didn't really care for the colors, so I freshened them up with spray paint.

Usually after we read a book together, the kids want to make some sort of craft relating to the book. We made caterpillars on a leaf and it's sort of like their own pet, but without the responsibility!

My son loved his paper rocket toy that he wanted to make his artwork into a paper necklace and wear it for fun! He was also nice enough to make his sister a butterfly necklace too.

Don't throw away your empty egg cartons. You can make beautiful roses out of them, then glue them onto an old pin. When painted, the cartons make a beautiful almost canvas-like material. This is one gorgeous upcycled brooch that I think you should try!

I love repurposing chocolate boxes. Here, I've made a copy of a priceless photo of my mum as a bride and made a frame for it from a box of chocolates I got on Valentine's Day. I know my dad will love this because he gets hearts in his eyes whenever he sees her!

Experiments can always create anything. So I was at first thinking of making a scented candle. The problem is that essential oils were out of stock in the market so I had to make one. I searched for it on the internet and found some simple steps.

My mother and I love to spoil my brother's daughter with gifts. It's not quite in our budget to always buy her the latest trends in toys so we love to make our own renditions. Here is a homemade sushi plush toy.

Spring Day Project Using Stickers

Spring brings green grass, beautiful flowers, and a variety of insects. It's fun for kids to document the season's changes with different crafts. An easy one requires construction paper, stickers, glue, and scissors! Each student's work was unique and all pieces turned out to represent a perfect spring day!

Using Pillow Shams to Recover Throw Pillows
By Rita Haas H.
I had two pillows that were used a lot! I had washed them several times and finally the covering just almost disintegrated. The inside pillow was still good so I decided to recover them (since new pillows are $15.00 and up when you buy them).

Don't Discard Your Egg Coloring Water

I always hate to throw out all those pretty cups of colors after we color our Easter eggs. So this year I decided to dilute them a bit and put them in pretty glasses on my window sill to decorate the house a bit for the holidays!

Fold the pants up, cut the extra off and re-hem, keeping the original hem/seam. Picture shows a better example. If you are using a sewing machine no need to change out to a heavier needle either.

Keeping Track of Crochet Chain Length

Recently, I did a project where I had to count stitches to make sure the chains were all the same length. Well, they sure weren't. I often have to compete with visiting kids and their video games, radios, videos, dogs...you name. It is hard to find quiet.
