LinkedIn expands scheduling, Pages capabilities

Outdoor living and entertaining may notch up this year, as a volatile economy has left 60% of consumers cautious about discretionary spending and 59% hesitant to embark on nonessential traveling, a Numerator study finds. "If consumers are reluctant to spend a lot of money outside the home when the economy is worrisome, they may see upgrading the outdoor living part of the homestead as a bargain given the money saved recreating and eating at home versus traveling and eating at restaurants," Mike Duff writes.

The Federal Reserve lifted the target federal funds rate by a quarter of a percentage point, continuing its inflation fight amid recent disruption in the banking sector.
