Malik Nabers and the profitable day

Did you have a good Wednesday?

No matter how good you think it was, it probably wasn't as good as Malik Nabers' Wednesday.

The Tigers' former star wide receiver was the star of LSU's Pro Day activities, emphatically making his case for being the top receiver taken in next month's NFL Draft.

Nabers was one of a baker's dozen (that's 13, if you've forgotten) LSU prospects showing their stuff for NFL teams Wednesday. Our Sheldon Mickles has the low down.

Remember last baseball season how opposing teams would alter their pitching rotation so as not to waste their ace against LSU's Paul Skenes? Now it looks like the Tigers are apparently doing the same thing, shanking up their rotation going into a three-game series at No. 1 Arkansas starting Thursday. To wit, Luke Holman won't pitch the first game, but will be held until Friday.

The SEC released its annual gymnastics honors Wednesday, and it's no surprise the Tigers did well. Haleigh Bryant was named SEC gymnast of the year, while Jay Clark was named co-coach of the year. Four other Tigers picked up All-SEC honors.

Can you name the one player who has been at LSU for all three seasons of the Kim Mulkey regime? It probably isn't who you think it is. Our Reed Darcey has the answer for you here, and the program's growth from that player's perspective.

Finally, the LSU softball team is back home at Tiger Park this weekend for a highly ranked showdown. It's the No. 6 Tigers against No. 11 Texas A&M in a series that like baseball also starts Thursday.

Well, I'm off to New York for the NCAA Albany Regional with the LSU women's team. Be sure to follow our coverage of the Tigers there as well as all the other sports on the most comprehensive site covering the Tigers that has ever existed.

Start spreadin' the news ...
