Michelin North America announces price increase on certain products

Port receives $20M grant from DOT to build retaining wall, deepen berths

The S.C. Ports Authority has received a $20 million grant from the U.S. Department of Transportation to help build a toe wall and deepen three berths at the Wando Welch Terminal. The toe wall construction and dredging work will cost $33 million, of which the port will contribute about $13 million. (Charleston Regional Business Journal)

Port gate issue attributed to power problems

A technical issue that delayed the opening of the gates at the S.C. Ports Authority’s container terminals last week was because of power failures in the information technology system, port leadership said.
