New ship-to-shore cranes arrive at the port

The S.C. Ports Authority’s first shipment of cranes for the Hugh K. Leatherman Sr. Terminal arrived in port Monday. The vessel carrying them will dock at Columbus Street Terminal for two days while they are reconfigured to fit under the Ravenel Bridge. (Charleston Regional Business Journal)

Manufacturer joins apprenticeship program

Arthrex Inc., an orthopedic surgical device manufacturer, has signed on its first Tri-County Technical College apprentice through the Youth Apprenticeship Carolina program. Through Tri-County Tech’s partnership students can continue working part-time as an apprentice as they complete their associate degree. (GSA Business Report)
