AUDITS LEAD TO BIG SAVINGS FOR TAXPAYERS The Local Government Energy Audit Program provides FREE energy audits to local governments such as schools and municipal buildings. The results of the energy audit can help municipalities understand where they can identify the biggest return for every dollar invested in energy efficiency. The audit report also provides recommendations on financial incentives that are available to help pay for the improvements that lower the cost of energy. With over 3,035 New Jersey facilities audited, over 543 local government entities, state agencies, educational institutions and select non-profit agencies have lowered their energy bills through the Local Government Energy Audit Program. The lower costs can translate into lower tax bills for residents and a healthier environment for everyone. Help New Jersey's Clean Energy Program create sustainable conditions for all of New Jersey by encouraging everyone to take action. |
