We're excited to share that the Ottawa Tool Library has received a grant from EnviroCentre to help break down barriers of accessibility at our Repair Café events! With this support, we’ll be offering interpretation services in different languages throughout the year, making it easier for more community members to take part. Our next Repair Café on March 15th at the Walter Baker Sports Centre will feature Mandarin interpretation. |

These workshops teach essential safety practices and handling techniques while introducing you to tools like the band saw, mitre saw, drill, table saw, planer, and more. Each course highlights different tools, so be sure to find the right one for you! Or take both! |

Intro to Bowl Turning This workshop covers the basics of turning a bowl on a lathe and you need to have basic wood-turning skills before signing up. Building on your skills and experience with spindle turning, you will learn about work holding, how to use the bowl gouge, planning the work, and cutting techniques. Working under the guidance of an instructor, you will do hands-on turning with the opportunity to make a small but functional article. Held at Lee Valley's seminar room, this workshop is for those who have taken the intro to lathe workshop held in February or have experience with wood lathes. For any questions, please contact us.
