Jackson County Neighborhood Leaders Gearing Up for May 18 Election!

Your Democratic Neighborhood Leaders are already busy planning for the next election in Jackson County coming up in May 2021. Two hundred and forty-two Neighborhood Leaders have committed to work to get out the Democratic votes in their neighborhoods here in Jackson County for the Special District Election coming up on May 18th.  While Jackson County experienced high turn out for the November 3, 2020 General Election, it's important that all of our Democratic and progressive voters become regular voters who vote in every election.  Jackson County Neighborhood Leaders are ready to help make that happen by contacting voters in their neighborhood or a near by neighborhood and urging their neighbors to make a commitment to vote.

More Neighborhood Leaders are needed throughout the county.  Democracy starts in your neighborhood and our amazing Neighborhood Leader Program is key to growing Democratic and progressive voter turnout in Jackson County!

Our Jackson County Neighborhood Leader program is recognized through the state as one of Oregon's top Get Out the Vote groups. You'll want to be a part of this great group of like-minded Democrats here in Jackson County.

To volunteer, send a email to nlp@jcdemocrats.org.

The Neighborhood Leaders are planning a "No Knock" canvass for the upcoming Special District Election. They'll be reaching out to voters with phone calls, text messages and by mailing postcards. Training and information packets will be available to new and returning Neighborhood Leaders so they will have everything they need to successfully reach out to their neighbors. Zoom socials are also being planned for Neighborhood Leaders to get together virtually and learn about the importance of Special District Elections! Stay tuned for Zoom Socials for Neighborhood Leaders coming up after the Filing Deadline.

Here are some key dates from the Neighborhood Leader Program:

A lot is at stake for Jackson County! The more people who volunteer, the better our community becomes!

All Democratic Party Precinct Committee Persons (PCPs) in Jackson County belong to the Central Committee, which is the governing body of the Democratic Party of Jackson County. As a PCP, you have a voice and vote in the party when we make decisions that affect your community.

As a PCP, you are the party’s grassroots, representing your neighbors to the party. For every 500 registered voters in a precinct, there can be one precinct person of each gender (male, female, non-binary).
