Labor Day Nostalgia!
For whatever reason every Labor Day I get extra nostalgic. And to this day, I still for a brief moment, start to reach for the TV remote to watch the Jerry Lewis Telethon. It was a staple event for the first 45 years of my life. It would be 24 hours of countless movie stars, musicians and celebrities making an appearance for Jerry’s Kids. .. And, if you’re over 50 you probably remember that historic but awkward moment when Frank Sinatra surprised Jerry LIVE and walked Dean Martin out on stage. It was the first time Jerry and Dean spoke in over a decade. .. Labor Day brings back some fond memories. And, there will probably never be another celebrity with the passion Jerry Lewis had for the “Kids”. And who can ever forget the ending of every Telethon, watching to see if Jerry would make it through his emotional ending singing , “You'll Never Walk Alone”. ..
