Mark Pilgrim on sharing his cancer journey: 'If my posts encourage just one person, it's all worthwhile'

Despite having bronchitis, Mark Pilgrim is "on the mend" after a rough week.

The South African radio broadcaster revealed last week that his immune system crashed after nine rounds of chemotherapy.

He added: "Good news is my doctors have been amazing today, we avoided hospitalisation, and my white blood count should increase in the coming week or so."

On Wednesday, Pilgrim shared an update and one of the reasons he decided to document his cancer journey online.
