There's a lot going on right now, even though there's just one weekend of MLB play in the books. First and foremost, we've got to address the biggest news in baseball right now: The Marlins COVID-19 outbreak. 11 Marlins players have tested positive, along with members of the team's traveling group, and this has already caused a postponement of Miami's scheduled game with the Orioles Monday, along with Monday's Phillies-Yankees game. What happens beyond Monday remains to be seen.
This was always going to be something we had to deal with as this season went on, but this is a stark reminder of the situation we're dealing with here. This is going to be something MLB will have to navigate all season, and it's going to have an impact on how you make it through the season, too.
For now, you've got to move forward and set your lineup for Week 2, and, of course, that isn't the only news we're reeling from -- Justin Verlander's potential season-ending injury looms large, as well. Scott White has his top waiver-wire options to consider coming off the weekend, while I broke down your potential Verlander replacements as well. Meanwhile, Frank Stampfl has winners and losers and all of the news you need to know from the weekend before setting your lineups.
