Both stars were immediately up for it, with Offerman joking "We said that if Beyoncé will play the mayor, we'll bring the show back."

After years of tireless campaigning, The Republic of Ireland has voted overwhelmingly to overturn the abortion ban by 66.4% to 33.6%. The referendum repeals Ireland's Eighth Amendment, which was added to the constitution in 1983, which banned abortion in Ireland unless there was a "real and substantial risk" to the mother's life. The vote joins other progressive steps forward for the country, including 2015's historic vote to legalize same-sex marriage.

In this brutal pilot season, another fan favorite show has been saved from the clutches of cancellation. Syfy's The Expanse just got picked up by Amazon for its fourth season. While rumors of the move have been swirling around the interwebs, Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos made it official at the National Space Society’s International Space Development Conference in Los Angeles last night.

The court of social media took to the Takei allegations like it takes to all things: with fast, furious anger until the next hashtag-worthy news story comes along. Takei's accusations quickly fell by the wayside as new stories of harassment and abuse were published.
