State gov revamp

As you'll read in the story below, Gov. Wes Moore has a plan to overhaul the Maryland Department of Information Technology. By introducing key positions including CTO, chief digital experience officer, AI advisor and director of accessibility, the state is demonstrating a commitment to reliable, secure and accessible IT infrastructure while addressing AI, cybersecurity and accessibility needs. In my view, this initiative is a compelling example of modernizing government tech with innovation and user focus.

What do you think about these new positions? How might they influence the local tech landscape? As always, reply to this email to share your thoughts.
