| | | | Touchless TSA? Apple Wallet is making room for one of those transparent plastic flaps. On Wednesday, Apple said it is adding scans of driver's licenses and state IDs to the digital wallets. And soon, some TSA checkpoints will accept it. That'll include several nearby, as the tech giant said Maryland will be one of the first eight states to introduce the feature. Apple heralded it as an "important step in our vision of replacing the physical wallet with a secure and easy-to-use mobile wallet." On first impression, I'll admit I'm not in really in a rush with this one. I always like the idea of being an early adopter, but this one feels like a leap into an unknown digital future. Identity theft used to involve numbers and codes. Now it could be your literal ID. But I'm interested in learning more. Would you replace your physical ID with a digital one?
