Masked driver makes gestures, swerves, honks horn and draws police attention: Russell Township police blotter
As seen in this week’s Russell Township police blotter, dispatch advised officers who were on the scene of a crash 10:37 a.m. Jan. 18 that an erratic driver wearing a mask, honking his horn, swerving and making hand gestures out the window was headed in their direction. South Russell police eventually caught and stopped the vehicle.

A woman reported her car and her parent’s house were egged on January 25. She said neighbors might have video footage. She requested special attention to the neighborhood for two weeks.

Drunk driver flees officer, charged with failure to comply: Olmsted Township police blotter
An officer attempted to stop a driver for a traffic violation at 2:25 am on January 26, but the driver refused to stop. After fleeing for a short period, the driver stopped and officers made contact. While speaking with the driver, she showed signs of impairment, completed field sobriety tasks, and was arrested. She was transported to jail where she provided a breath sample of .158%. She was charged with operating a vehicle under the influence, failure to comply, and following too close.
