Das tschechische Gesundheitsministerium verschärft die Masken-Pflicht an Schulen. Schülerinnen und Schüler müssen ab Freitag auch im Unterricht eine Mund-Nasen-Bedeckung tragen. Bisher galt die Masken-Pflicht in Schulen auf den Fluren, in Treppenhäusern und auf den Toiletten. Die neue Regelung bezieht sich auf Kinder und Jugendliche ab der 6. Klasse.
Zudem wird eine Sperrstunde für Restaurants und Bars hierzulande eingeführt. Diese müssen zwischen Mitternacht und sechs Uhr früh geschlossen bleiben.
Die epidemische Lage sei nicht gut, die Epidemie gewinne an Kraft, es steige die Zahl der Menschen, die in Krankenhäusern behandelt werden müssten, sagte Gesundheitsminister Adam Vojtěch (parteilos) am Freitag.
Tschechien verschärft Maßnahmen gegen die Ausbreitung des Coronavirus. Veranstaltungen in geschlossenen Räumen ohne feste Sitzplätze mit mehr als 10 Teilnehmern sind ab Freitag verboten, wie das Gesundheitsministerium am Mittwoch beschlossen hat. Ausnahmen gelten für Ausstellungen, Märkte und ähnliche Veranstaltungen.
Neue Einschränkungen bestehen auch für Gaststätten und Restaurants. Dort gilt eine allgemeine Masken-Pflicht. Der Mund-Nasen-Schutz dürfe nur beim Essen und Trinken abgelegt werden, hieß es.
Eine weitere Verschärfung der Maßnahmen sei nicht ausgeschlossen, schrieb Gesundheitsminister Adam Vojtěch (parteilos) in einer Presseerklärung am Mittwochabend.
Die Zahl der Neuinfektionen mit dem Coronavirus ist in Tschechien am Mittwoch zum ersten Mal auf über 2000 an einem Tag gestiegen. Der Zuwachs lag bei 2139 Fällen, das waren 464 mehr als am Dienstag.
Die Gesamtzahl der aktuell mit dem Coronavirus infizierten Menschen liegt hierzulande auf der neuen Rekordhöhe von 17.619. Weiterhin haben die meisten von ihnen aber einen leichten Krankheitsverlauf, wie aus den Zahlen des Gesundheitsministeriums hervorgeht. Auf der anderen Seite stieg die Zahl der Patienten, die im Krankenhaus behandelt werden müssen, gegenüber dem Vortag um 55 auf 388 Personen, 81 Patienten haben einen schweren Krankheitsverlauf. Seit dem Ausbruch der Pandemie sind insgesamt 482 Menschen, die das Coronavirus hatten, gestorben. 17 von ihnen starben in der laufenden Woche.
In Tschechien droht ein großes Risiko, dass die Coronavirus-Fälle exponentiell zunehmen werden. Das teilte der Leiter des Instituts für Informationen und Statistik im Gesundheitswesen, Ladislav Dušek, am Donnerstag mit.
Demzufolge liegt die Reproduktionsnummer bei 1,6. Laut Dušek hat die Epidemie seit dem 1. September an Geschwindigkeit gewonnen, es ließen sich keine klaren Infektionshotspots bestimmen. Optimistische Schätzungen für den September rechnen dem Statistiker zufolge mit 44.000 neuen Fällen, pessimistische mit bis zu 70.000 Ansteckungen.
Prag ist im sogenannten Smart City Index von Platz 19 auf Platz 44 gefallen. In einer Studie des Schweizer IMD-Instituts und der Universität für Technologie und Design in Singapur wurden 109 Großstädte der Welt verglichen. Ausgewertet wurden technologische und ökonomische Kriterien und der Stand der Digitalisierung, aber auch etwa die Lebensqualität, Gesundheit oder die Verkehrslage. Die ersten Plätze belegten Singapur, Helsinki und Zürich.
Prag verzeichnete einen massiven Absurz im Ranking um 25 Plätze. Dazu hätten nicht sozioökonomische Faktoren oder ein größerer Nachholbedarf im Bereich der Technologien, sondern die Erweiterung um neue Kriterien geführt, kommentierten die Autoren der Analyse das Ergebnis. Demzufolge kritisierten die befragten Einwohner Prags die angespannte Lage auf dem Wohnungsmarkt und sowie mangelnde Informationen über Verkehrsstaus über Handy-Apps.
Die Radioprogramme des Tschechischen Rundfunks werden seit Donnerstag auf 95 Prozent des Sendegebiets über DAB+ ausgestrahlt. Insgesamt zehn neue Sendemasten seien dafür in Betrieb genommen worden, teilte Rundfunk-Generaldirektor René Zavoral auf einer Pressekonferenz in Prag mit.
Im kommenden Jahr plane man den Start von zwei neuen Digitalsendern, hieß es weiter. Auf der anderen Seite würde die Ausstrahlungen des öffentlich-rechtlichen Radios über die Mittel- und Langwelle beendet, so Zavoral.
Am Freitag ist es in Tschechien heiter, später am Nachmittag und am Abend können aber die Wolken dichter werden. Die Tageshöchsttemperaturen erreichen 17 bis 21 Grad Celsius, im Nordosten des Landes 15 bis 19 Grad.
Zhenhua Data Technology aus dem südchinesischen Shenzhen beliefert ihren eigenen Angaben nach die Kommunistische Partei des Landes und die dortige Volksarmee. Nun steht die Firma im Mittelpunkt eines Skandals, den westliche Journalisten aufgedeckt haben. So soll Zhenhua weltweit Daten von Politikern, Diplomaten, Wirtschaftsmanagern oder etwa Hochschulprofessoren gesammelt haben. Auch 700 Tschechen gehören dazu.
Die Präsidentin der Europäischen Kommission, Ursula von der Leyen, hat am Mittwoch ihre erste Rede zur Lage der EU gehalten. In Tschechien trafen vor allem die ambitionierten Klimaziele auf Ablehnung.
Das tschechische Abgeordnetenhaus hat am Mittwoch ein Verbot der Käfighaltung von Legehennen gebilligt. Dieses soll 2027 in Kraft treten.
Lange wurde darüber gerätselt, ob die tschechische Eishockey-Extraliga trotz Corona-Krise in die Saison 2020/21 gehen wird. Der nationale Verband (ČSLH) und der Ligaverband (APK LH) haben aber immer beteuert: Wir wollen pünktlich zu Mitte September beginnen. Und an diesem Donnerstag ist es soweit: Die Extraliga startet in ihre 28. Saison.
