Was Oprah in charge of SENS yesterday?
You get an announcement! And you get an announcement! And YOU get an announcement!
Yesterday was absurd on SENS. There were no fewer than 14 company announcements that deserved to be covered in detail. I can't recall ever seeing such a busy day!
There is absolutely no chance you can catch up other than by reading Ghost Bites. I know this, because I spent more hours than I'm willing to admit pulling this together yesterday. For the latest on Adcock Ingram, Aveng, BHP, KAP, Kumba Iron Ore, Motus, NEPI Rockcastle, Salungano, Sasol, Sibanye-Stillwater, Super Group, Texton, Tiger Brands and Transpaco (and breathe!), read Ghost Bites here>>>
There are two announcements that I need to highlight to lift them from the noise, as the relevant companies really wanted you to see them as a Ghost Mail reader:
- Sasol's interim results were a mixed bag, with an interim dividend of R7.00 per share declared. Get the details here>>>
- If you are a shareholder in Salungano Group, then you'll find bids on the screen at R1.40 from RBFT Investments. If you want to, the liquidity is there for you to exit your shares. Get more information here>>>

The rand still looks vulnerable
As we head into the calm befor e the budget speech storm, the rand looks vulnerable around the R18.20 mark. The dollar is on the front foot and that isn't good news at the moment for our currency. The main focus of the budget speech will surely be on the current energy crisis and this will inform the direction for the rand.
TreasuryONE notes the other important news later today: the US Fed minutes which could move the dollar depending on their tone. This is a BIG day for the rand and may not end well.
