Mauldin picks developer for City Center

The Mauldin City Council is moving forward with a project to create the kind of downtown city leaders have been hoping to develop for years. After two readings, the council voted Oct. 30 to sell land to Michigan-based Contour Development Group, who will move forward with Mauldin’s City Center project.

Port cargo volumes continue upward trend

The S.C. Ports Authority continued its trend of year-over-year cargo growth in October. The ports moved 217,360 TEUs — an industry measurement equivalent to a 20-foot container — at the Wando Welch and North Charleston container terminals last month, up 5.2% from October 2018.
