See Me See You cultural responsiveness - community training Would you like to improve your engagement and connection with people from a migrant or refugee background? Come along to the free “See Me, See You cultural responsiveness workshop” hosted by Multicultural Futures on Wednesday 11 May, 4-7pm at Success Library.
This will be a chance to check our intercultural readiness, and up-skill, as they take us through the following topics: - Intercultural awareness
- Intercultural communication
- Acknowledging own cultural glasses/bias
- Application of cultural responsiveness to everyday systems
- Developing intercultural competencies
- Synchronising ideas and actions
- Complexities of cultural differences
- English as a second language as global English

Youth Leadership course Young people in Cockburn aged aged 12-24 are invited to participate in the Cockburn Youth Leadership Program to develop their capacity as a youth leader and be a role model for young people. The course will be held over four sessions on Tuesdays from 31 May.

Calling all music lovers - accessible music program Interested in making music? Registrations are open for a new music program in Term 2 at Cockburn Youth Centre. This program is open to all ages, and all abilities. There are a range of program facilitators coming on board who will cater to all music interests and requirements including: song writing, production, performing, and accessible instruments.
