Most of us are fortunate enough to have insurance or the necessary funds to purchase medicine which keep us alive and recovering from the many illnesses that we are exposed to daily. I am a cancer survivor and need anti-rejection medication daily to keep me from rejecting my kidney transplant. My cancer came back in early 2021 and Mayo Clinic operated on me.
I am continuing my Keytruda immunization treatments every 6 weeks. During one of my most recent treatments, my doctor and I talked about healthcare and especially the purchase of oral anti-rejection medications which are vital (life or death in most cases). I was shocked to hear that many transplant patients have no insurance, their insurance is no longer paying for their medications, or the patient cannot afford to purchase their necessary medications.
So, after this discussion with some people associated with Wildwood Green, we decided to make May a "Mayo Month" and assist in the purchasing of these necessary medication for those less fortunate than most of us. The owners of Wildwood Green decided to make a personal donation and $1 per round of golf played in May.
This will guarantee no less than $5000 is donated! Our goal is to make a total donation of $10,000.
We invite you to help us reach this goal by making a tax-deductible donation during the month of May. When you make your donation of $20 or more, we will enter you into a drawing for 4 different prizes.
- One month of free range balls
- One month of free dues
-
One month of free cart rounds
- One free club fitting session
