Community + Demo Nights 
at the tool library


Connect with other makers at our tool library every last Monday of the month.
Learn and observe with live demonstrations starting at 7 pm on topics such as: bikes - gardening - carpentry - painting - plumbing and many more!

This month's topic is BIKES: learn what kind of bike is the right one for your style of riding, we'll share tips on basic bike maintenance, and bike safety on May 29th.

The evening from 6-9 pm provides ample time to connect, ask questions, and just hang out to chat about projects, and possibly get some tips from our tool ninjas.

Our seed library is out again! 🌱


Come by during our opening hours and pick up heritage seeds to get your garden going. Also watch for our demo night next month on gardening (June 26th).
CRAFTFEST 2017 will be at the historic Zibi Canada site, nestled between Ottawa and Gatineau on Albert island (6 Booth St). Over 15-days, it showcases more than 150 small batch Canadian maker artists, so shoppers can buy Canadian handmade goods, eh! There will be a Pop Up Shop, workshops, a Pop Up Cinema night, and more fun stuff.

We're proud to be the #CraftChange partner of MakerHouse Co. and Freewheeling Craftfor this event with part of the sales from the Pop Up Shop being donated to support the great work of the OTL.

We now have a bike trailer that can be borrowed by our members and we can add our mobile outreach box onto it - as seen in the picture - to bike to events around town!

As part of 100 in 1 Day, join us to openly discuss challenges, possibilities, risks and chances of alternative ownership models. 

We will have coffee and treats to help the discussion along: as we all know, great ideas are being born when we engage while enjoying good food.
