IETM Aarhus Plenary Meeting: Join the livestreams!
In just under a month, we will meet in Aarhus for the IETM Aarhus Plenary Meeting 2023, where an estimated 500 artists and other cultural professionals are expected to gather. IETM is excited to collaborate with IETM member HowlRound, who will once again be hosting the livestream of our two keynotes on Monday 12 June and Wednesday 14 June. If you’re unable to join us in person in Aarhus, consider marking the following dates in your calendar and tune into the livestream to follow our two inspiring keynotes. Please note that IETM Aarhus is being held during the week, making it easier for those unable to attend to tune into the livestreams.
Living on the Edge - A nature divide? 12 June 2023 - 16:30-17:30 CEST The Monday keynote will dive into the sociology of the ecological transition and explore the rise of a new social class deeply rooted in ecological values. The keynote will be led by Nikolaj Schultz, writer and researcher from Denmark and introduced by Ása Richardsdóttir, IETM Secretary General and Charlotte Mors, Executive Director at Performing Arts Platform Denmark.
Climate Justice 14 June 2023 - 09:30-10:30 CEST Led by former Sámi President Aili Keskitalo from Sámi Land/Norway, the Wednesday keynote will look into the intersection of indigenous rights, the paradox of green energy production and the role of the arts in the understanding of history and its relationship with the present. It will be hosted by Maria Utsi, Davvi - Centre for Performing Arts, Norway.

Perform Europe is hiring!Perform Europe is back! After having successfully completed the Perform Europe pilot project in 2022, the Perform Europe consortium has been mandated by the European Union to lead Perform Europe once again for the next three years, 2023-2026.
In order to carry out their exciting strategies and visions, Perform Europe is looking to hire three professionals to join their team - a Project Coordinator (100%), a Communications Officer (100%) and a Project Assistant (50%).
Europe Beyond Access: Online eventsEurope Beyond Access presents two events available to attend online: the launch of the new report Time to Act: Two Years On and the symposium ‘Disability and Transforming the Cultural Ecosystem’ live streamed from Brussels. The Global Cultural Relations Programme (GCRP) is announcing a shift in focus for the upcoming edition of GCRP. The past editions were tailored for cultural and creative professionals. For the 2023 edition of GCRP, the Cultural Relations Platform opens the programme also to participants working in the field of climate change and environmental issues. Deadline for applications is 28 May.
Organised in partnership with Marche Teatro and Inteatro festival, this was the second time the Campus was hosted at Villa Nappi - the site where the idea of IETM - the Informal European Theatre Meeting, was conceived 42 years ago, in the summer of 1981. IETM is thankful to all the participants, tutors and our Italian partners!
Register for the IETM Caravan Kosovo 2023 If you’re a theatre maker, producer or festival coordinator, join us in Kosovo on 24 - 29 October 2023 for the very first time to explore the performing arts scene and cultural reality of Prishtina during the Kosovo Theatre Showcase 2023.
We especially encourage you to register if you have a particular focus on theatre programming, producing or distribution activities. The Caravan is organised in partnership with IETM members Qendra Multimedia and Teatri ODA.
This final event in IETM’s first year of environmental transitioning will bring members and professional guests together for a joint brainstorm where participants will benefit from the targeted programmes and accumulated knowledge gathered by the network through all its activities in 2023.
Pre-Meeting Trip to Esch-sur-Alzette In the afternoon of Monday 27 November, take the opportunity to get to know the cultural actors of Luxembourg, deepen your understanding of its arts and culture scene and gain valuable insights into the local context through a visit to the former 2022 European Capital of Culture Esch-sur-Alzette.
Quarantine (UK) seeking next Executive Director Quarantine (UK) is looking for an experienced, collaborative, and dynamic individual to be their next Executive Director. Co-leading the company with the Co-Artistic Directors, they will resource and help deliver an ambitious and inventive artistic programme whilst maintaining a robust and compliant organisation.
