The clinic’s chief administrative officer says eliminating elective surgeries and outpatient visits amid the COVID-19 pandemic was the right decision for its staff and patients, but “has led to significant reductions in revenues.” The pay and work reductions, which will apply to all Mayo employees in Minnesota, Florida and Arizona, will start in May, and last until the end of the year.

104-year-old Winona woman may be the oldest COVID-19 survivor in the U.S. Vera Mueller, 104 years young on March 23, was diagnosed with the coronavirus two days after her birthday, her son Bob said. Winona County officials verify that they had a resident who is 104, had contracted the virus and is now recovered. Her family is thrilled Vera came through, saying she is a survivor, and is ready to celebrate her birthday -- which needed to be celebrated through the window -- in a more fitting manner.
