Good morning and thanks for joining us. Here are some of the day's top headlines.
Cantrell in court: The first true courtroom battle between Mayor LaToya Cantrell and a French Quarter resident who snapped the infamous photos of the mayor and her bodyguard sharing a meal at a French Quarter restaurant in April was postponed until June 18 on Monday. Missy Wilkinson and John Simerman have the details from court and what we know so far about Anne Breaud, the woman accused of stalking Cantrell.
Cornstalk Hotel: It's been featured in countless movies and TV shows — most notably Elvis Presley’s 1958 classic "King Creole" — and has hosted Paul Newman, Richard Burton and Elizabeth Taylor, and Bill and Hillary Clinton. Now the historic Cornstalk Hotel is back on the market for $5.2 million. Stephanie Riegel has the story.
Last call: The hearty flavors of Eastern Europe may not have seemed like a natural fit for subtropical New Orleans, but for 12 years Matt Ribachonek carved a niche for his Slavic soul food at the Green Room / Kukhnya. This Friday, however, is the end of the line. Ian McNulty explains why the restaurant is closing for good.
