Was that fun or what? The first full day of the 2025 NCAA Tournament is in the books. Or should I say, the first full day, night and early morning, since the action ended shortly before 1 a.m. on Friday morning. That was 16 games and 13 hours after Louisville and Creighton tipped off around noon. I am writing this from my seat behind the desk inside the Turner studios in Atlanta. We have taped a few segments for our late-night highlights show and will do the last couple of segments live. If you saw me and thought, “That looks like a lot of fun,” I’m here to tell you are right. I feel incredibly lucky to be able to be a part of this event in my own little way. At the very least, I didn’t have to call in sick for work because I was at work. I also hope you are enjoying the incredible, steady flow of content we are serving up here at Hoops HQ. I encourage you to check our live update tracker as well as our terrific stories from the men’s and women’s tournaments. I also recommend my story about the junior college player from California who was recruited by former ESPN reporter turned mid-major general manager Adrian Wojnarowski to play for St. Bonaventure. His name is Joe Grahovac and you won’t believe his story. —Seth |
