COVID-19 update in the Western Pacific Region

WHAT

Media are invited to a virtual press conference at 10:00 am Manila time on Friday 3 December 2021, where the World Health Organization (WHO) Regional Director for the Western Pacific, Dr Takeshi Kasai, will provide an update on COVID-19 in the Region* and take questions from journalists.

He will be joined by Dr Babatunde Olowokure, WHO Regional Emergency Director, Dr Huong Tran, Director of Programmes for Disease Control and Dr Socorro Escalante, Coordinator for Essential Medicines and Health Technologies.

Journalists should connect at 09:50 am Manila time, 10 minutes before the virtual press conference begins.

As time will be limited, journalists are encouraged to send questions in advance to wprocom@who.int.
