Click here Thursday, 12 May 2022 MEDIA ADVISORY Information for media coverage of 75th World Health Assembly “Health for Peace, Peace for health" is the theme for the 75th World Health Assembly (WHA) which will run 22-28 May, 2022. WHA75 will kick off with a high-level session on 22 May, with speeches from the elected WHA president, Heads of States, special guests, the address by the WHO Director-General and the presentation of DG health awards. The World Health Assembly is WHO’s highest decision-making body, setting out the Organization’s policy and approving its budget. WHA is attended by delegations from all WHO 194 Member States and focuses on a specific health agenda prepared by the Executive Board, which will meet on 18-20 May. The appointment of the next WHO Director-General will take place during WHA75. The Assembly will be webcast live from the WHO website.
