Going postal: This story is not what you expect Postal workers are under a ton of pressure, so it’s no wonder the expression “going postal” exists. But more often than not, they’re hardworking heroes. Take, for instance, the story of Fernando Garcia, a USPS mailman who saved someone’s life. Fernando was finishing his daily route when he heard a loud scream from a nearby house. He found a man bleeding on the ground with a chainsaw nearby and a deep wound in his arm. Using his own belt as a tourniquet, Fernando was able to slow the bleeding and get the man to safety. What’s more, he stayed with him until an ambulance arrived. Talk about going above and beyond the call of duty. There’s just one problem: Nobody knows what the man was doing with the chainsaw or why!
