It may be August, but the best of summer is yet to come over in east London, where a glorious new waterfront pop-up is about to be unveiled. Head to Royal Wharf between Wednesday 18 August and Sunday 26 September for live music, top-notch feasting, and family fun with
Meet Me At The Pier.

Meet Me At The Pier is a new programme of supremely summery events hosted by Riverscape — one of the capital's greenest developments (and soon-to-be one of its best-connected, once Crossrail launches). It's all taking place along the beautifully landscaped stretch of waterfront between Lyle Park and Thames Barrier Park, moments from Royal Wharf Pier.

You can sink into a Riverscape deckchair and enjoy incredible uninterrupted views across the River Thames, with The O2 and the iconic Canary Wharf skyline as your backdrop. All Meet Me At The Pier events are free entry — read on for the highlights, then click the blue button to plan your visit.

Fabulous Food And Drink

Hosted in a riverside Airstream, the Riverscape pop-up will be serving up Aperol spritz cocktails and treats from your favourite small London businesses, including Brick Lane Bagels and Five Points Brewery, as well as speciality coffee and sustainable British wine. The pop-up is open every day, 11am-8.30pm, for six weeks.

A Harmonious Happy Hour

Live acoustic music comes to the Riverscape pop-up every Thursday and Friday from 5pm. This helpfully coincides with happy hour, where you can enjoy all food and drink for 20% less. Grab your bargain of a bevvy and head out to the vibrant al fresco terrace to watch the sun go down while tapping your feet to some summery tunes.

Fun For All The Family

Just a few minutes' walk from the Riverscape pop-up, you'll find Royal Wharf Gardens, where on Saturday 4 September a spirited summer fete is taking place. Play jumbo garden games, take the kids to get their faces painted, and enjoy live music and magic tricks. With stalls from local businesses and an art corner, this is also a chance to discover the creativity of the local community.

Even More Foodie Fun

On top of the vendors at the Riverscape pop-up, foodies can find even more gastronomical delights at the Royal Wharf Farmer's Market. Head here on Sunday 15 August and Sunday 12 September for lovely locally sourced produce. There's the street food market which, on Friday 27 August and Friday 24 September, will be serving up glorious grub from around the globe.
