Olivier Blechner brings over 20 years of principal investing and corporate finance experience to his role as Executive Vice President of Business Development. Prior to Jushi, Blechner worked with Jim Cacioppo as the Senior Portfolio Manager at One East Capital Advisors. Blechner has previously held several senior roles at hedge funds including Chief Investment Officer of the Polygon Distressed Opportunities Fund, Research Director at Alden Global Capital, Partner at TPG Credit Management. Initially, Blechner worked for Jim Cacioppo as Head of European Credit Opportunities at Sandell Asset Management. Prior to those positions, Blechner concentrated on leveraged finance and rescue financing transactions at Houlihan Lokey and Credit Suisse First Boston / DLJ. Blechner received a B.S. in Economics from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania in 1998.

Guy Rocourt is the Co-Founder, President and Chief Product Officer for Papa & Barkley, a leading California cannabis wellness company. At P&B, Rocourt is responsible for optimizing production practices, ensuring the company complies with rigorous testing and lab standards, and developing the product roadmap as the brand continues to expand into different areas of the cannabis marketplace. Previously, Rocourt designed and built manufactured infused products facilities (MIPs) in multiple states, making him an expert in Cannabis science, tech, strategy, and production. Due to his vast experience he is an asset to those hoping to invest in the space. He also has experience caring for patients with Cannabis. Rocourt graduated from the Rochester Institute of Technology and is a U.S. Navy veteran. Rocourt uses his keen understanding of the Cannabis plant, Cannabis culture, and business acumen to craft a variety of wellness products and is on a mission like P&B to unlock the power of the plant to improve people’s lives. Rocourt is passionate about advocating for Cannabis through public speaking and maintaining an authentic space within Cannabis Culture even as Papa & Barkley continues to grow.

As a licensed attorney, Sumer Thomas offers a unique perspective on the legal landscape of the cannabis industry as well as a critical eye towards new laws. Thomas’ main focus is supporting the needs of our clients while delivering superior content and consulting services. Thomas manages complex processes across a full spectrum of client needs that range from license applications to operations readiness to exit strategy.

Thomas’ interest in the evolution of cannabis is bolstered by her law degree from the University of Florida. Her legal background in tax, business, and administrative law brings a broad perspective for solving clients’ complex problems. Thomas has an in-depth understanding of mature and developing state cannabis markets, along with a global perspective gained while living abroad.
