| | There's a new deputy in town Happy Thursday, Baltimore. The week's almost over! Are you enjoying the slightly warmer weather we've gotten this week? Below, you'll see our new Q&A with Justin Williams, who's just a few weeks into his tenure as Baltimore's deputy mayor for community and economic development. In the interview, he affirmed his commitment to growing the city's economy in an equitable and robust way. He's also a real estate, zoning and land use attorney who left a partner-level position at downtown law firm Rosenberg Martin Greenberg. DMCED Williams notably steps into this position after a year of multiple high-profile exits from the Mayor's Office (including that of his predecessor). You can learn more about how all that manifests in his vision for his tenure, among other reflections on the city's digital equity and economic development priorities, in the interview below. After you read it, I invite you to tell us: What can DMCED Williams do to best leverage the tech economy's resources for the good of all Baltimoreans? You can do so by emailing baltimore@technical.ly or replying to his email.
