Thursday, August 15 | 2:00 - 3:15 PM ET

Join us this Thursday, August 15 at 2 PM ET for the webinar Crafting Proposal Budgets That Instill Confidence to learn how to build sound budgets that demonstrate a nonprofit's financial health and avoid common pitfalls.

You'll learn from the expert guests:
  • Jeanette Hall oversees finance and operations at a Pennsylvania grant maker focused on increasing equitable access to quality health and human services. After working in corporate finance and accounting for many years, Hall realized she wanted to help make a difference in the world and transitioned to philanthropy. Her first nonprofit job was at a domestic violence organization, where she learned about the many intersections contributing to societal problems and worked on grant writing and budgeting. This experience makes Hall’s role at the foundation a good fit for her, and the opportunities for community involvement are a wonderful perk.

  • Professor Lynne Weikart, Ph.D., is the author of several books including two textbooks: Budgeting and Financial Management for Nonprofits and Budget Tools: Financial Methods in the Public Sector. Her current research focuses on urban politics and finance, particularly resource allocation and the budgeting process. Before joining academia, Professor Weikart was Executive Director of City Project, a nonprofit, progressive, fiscal think tank that focused on reforming NYC’s resource allocation patterns. She also served as Budget Director of the Division of Special Education in New York City’s public schools and as Executive Deputy Commissioner of the NYS Division of Human Rights. Professor Weikart teaches part-time at James Madison University as a practitioner-in-residence and continues to conduct research on fiscal scarcity and its impact on government and nonprofits.
