Houston Ballet
Angie Lane oversees fundraising at Houston Ballet, whose 2021 hybrid ball raised nearly $850,000, far exceeding the $500,000 goal. Previously, she held leadership positions at Houston Grand Opera, American National Red Cross, and Girls Inc. A Certified Fund Raising Executive, Lane often teaches fundraising courses at the Rice University Glasscock School of Continuing Studies.
Samantha Swaim has more than 20 years of event-planning and fundraising experience. She is founder of Swaim Strategies, a consulting firm that specializes in successful fundraising events. Swaim is co-author of the book, “Planning a Successful Major Donor Event,” and founder of Elevate, an annual conference focused on fundraising events.
