Learn strategies to turn program-specific gifts into unrestricted support
Rising costs are putting more pressure on nonprofits to secure funding for essential expenses like rent, salaries, and operations. Yet many grant makers and donors still prefer to fund specific programs. The key to unlocking more general operating support? Confidently making the case for it. In our upcoming webinar, Smart Strategies for Attracting General Operating Support, you’ll hear from fundraising experts who excel at securing these types of grants. MEET THE EXPERTS: Tonia Brown-Kinzel is grant compliance manager for The Grant Plant, a consultancy that helps nonprofits secure and manage grants. She serves on the professional education committee of the Grant Professionals Association and as board president of the Ohio-Miami Valley Chapter. She also is a member of the National Grants Management Association’s Ohio Chapter. In various roles, Brown-Kinzel has helped raise more than $20 million for nonprofits, Tribal nations, and municipal agencies. Anne Musial has more than two decades of experience in fundraising. As chief development officer at The 19th, an independent nonprofit newsroom reporting on issues related to gender, politics, and policy, she leads fundraising strategies for individual donors, foundations, and other revenue sources, and serves on the senior leadership team. Before joining The 19th, Musial worked as a nonprofit and political consultant in Austin and Los Angeles, advising nonprofits and elected officials at the state, local, and national levels on fundraising and communications strategies. |
