CVS' virtual recruiting process leads to some 60K hires CVS found the spread of the novel coronavirus meant it needed to hire some 50,000 people so it quickly ramped up its virtual talent acquisition process, leading to more than 60,000 candidates who have been hired or are in the hiring process. "We have something that would normally take a large corporation months, years potentially," said Jeffrey Lackey, VP of talent acquisition at CVS Health. Walmart is among superstore retailers still hiring, even as unemployment numbers in the US pass the 14% mark.
