Biography
Artist Statement: We can all be free through art. Let go of fear and just feel art in any form. Its about the tingles.
I am a woman of faith. I am spiritual not religious . The only plan I have for any painting is to paint hope into it. I just paint. I am a suspected high functioning autistic artist.
My mind is naturally fast and abstract. I let the art evolve as I feel the flow. I am grateful to have this ability and for others to view or interact with my art. I give thanks to the light I call God. I sell art to keep painting. I paint from my home studio in Oklahoma. I paint to spread hope.
Melissa Broadwell seems to interpret through synesthesia . She is a multiple award winning artist. She started painting later in life in May 2021. She started painting on a whim when her loving husband saw her using online digital platforms which were also new to her. He thought the blending she was doing was suited to oils. Her husband shipped art supplies to their home and encouraged her to paint. She was quoted as saying that the brushes felt so natural in her hands. The only plan she ever has with each painting is to include glimmers of hope.
