Volunteer Open House
Volunteer Open House
Wednesday, January 16, 2019, 2 PM
For all of CAM's 56 years, volunteers have provided an essential role in serving our visitors and realizing our mission to the community. A committed team of volunteers greets visitors and assists with admission and membership, informs them of CAM's exhibitions and provides help in the Museum Shop. Behind the scenes, volunteers file, make phone calls, organize files and categorize library titles. The many programs and special events at CAM are truly dependent upon a strong volunteer force to keep things running efficiently. Each person makes a big difference!

In 2019, resolve to learn more about CAM's volunteer opportunities and how you can get involved. This Open House is a low-key presentation and conversation about our museum volunteer roles. CAM Café provides nibbles and nectars and we provide the opportunity for you to start the new year off right!

Composer-pianist William Neil and Saxophonist Laurent Estoppey will each navigate a musical journey from their two musical perspectives on the plight of the grey wolf and the migratory birds of the upper Mississippi Valley. Included on the program will be Pictures at the Micro-Exhibition for solo saxophone by Navid Bargrizan, a suite of six movements with interludes which are excerpts of Pictures at an Exhibition by Modest Mussorgsky. Also, Laurent and guitarist Robert Nathanson will perform Marilyn Shrude's exquisite Face of the Moon.
