Meet us for coffee virtually! Pour a cup of coffee and join CAM Executive Director Anne Brennan, CAM Curator of Exhibitions and Collections Bob Unchester, and Guest Curator Carla Hanzal for a special Member Coffee Zoom program discussing Elizabeth Bradford's exhibition A House of One Room.
Curator Carla Hanzal began her career in the arts as a NEA Fellow while she was in graduate school at American University. She became Director of Exhibitions at the International Sculpture Center in Washington D.C. and developed a series of outdoor exhibitions for Tudor Place Foundation. During her 7-year tenure, she coordinated four major traveling exhibitions in Japan including Frank Lloyd Wright, Peter Voulkos, David Smith and Mark Rothko. In 2002 she became the Curator of Modern and Contemporary Art at the Mint Museum in Charlotte. In 2015, she became Vice President of Public Art at the Arts and Science Council. Most recently, Hanzal oversaw the completion of Richard Hunt's, Spiral Odyssey.
